AIMS TO START A NEW CAREER SCHEME FOR AGRICULTURE STUDENTS

A good initiative has been introduced by Indian Council of Agriculture Research.

This scheme aims to train and empower rural Youth to take up various Agriculture, allied and Service Sector Enterprises and helps them to become Entrepreneurs. At present, it is in operating 100 Districts across the Country.

There are mainly 3 fold objectives of ARYA (Attracting & Retaining of Youth in Agriculture)

  • Rural Employment Generation
  • Food/Nutritional Security
  • Distress Migration

This shows the man who is sitting on some kind of the machine and is scaling the trunk of a tree, so that is the local innovation by a man who has invented the machine through which even the Araucana Trees can be scaled, so we know farmers try to scale Araucana trees and many mishaps happen & many farmers die for that matter.

So these kinds of innovations will help to make farming activities more Safe, Profitable, and Remunerated to the farmers. So it is this kind of skill which needs to be encouraged. Similarly, if You Go On and On, You can Find several such areas where Youth could be skilled to be employed gainfully in the Agriculture Sector.

So this Scheme is that one area where you can skill youth.

Vizag Gas Tragedy

After Deadly CORONA Virus, Vizag Hit By A Gas Tragedy

Before India could completely be recovered by this Covid-19 pandemic we once again have been horrified by another incident.

Yes, I am talking about #VizagGasLeak incident which took place Vizag also called Visakhapatnam. Poisonous gas was a leak from the containers of a Company called as LG Polymers India Pvt. Ltd, which clung more than 10 lives & nearly 3000 People are seriously ill.

Very sensitive & disturbing images of People and Animals falling on the grounds losing their Consciousness are being circulated on social media. The leaked poisonous gas called Styrene Gas.

This is widely used in construction and automobile industries. It has wide range of application.

This incident has raised once again questions on the Indian Industrial Safety Standard. This particular incidence reminds the 1984 Bhopal gas Tragedy. Despite having various requirements for industrial safety standards, Why such incidents keep occurring again and again?

The main reasons for this is “Lack of Monitoring and Improper Implementation of the Guidelines.”

We should have the Onsite & Offsite plan and government have to set up more and more disaster management institutions across the Country and moreover there must be a good Connection & Co-ordination with the Local Authorities. So that during such an incident a collective co-ordinate action is insured.

Locust Swarm

Farmers After Recession, Dealing With The Insect Attack LOCUSTS Are Coming In Full Power

During this disastrous pandemic, a new problem arises LOCUST SWARM which has crossed the Indo-Pakistan boundary & now has been sited in Gujarat, Rajasthan, even in Madhya Pradesh & some extent in Maharashtra also.

It is the species of Short-horned Grasshopper which become highly mobile and can travel a long distance. These Locust according to some estimate, can eat food that is enough for as many as 2500 people that to in a single day. So this shows that the Locust Swarm can be a huge threat on the one hand to the Food Security of India & other hand to the farmers who are already now facing agrarian crisis.

Now the question arises What led to their early arrival?

As we all know in 2018 there were Cyclonic Storms in Mekunu & Luban, because of this cyclone it brought the huge rainfall in desert tracks in Africa also. So this created favourable condition for their breeding and these Swarms started attacking the crops in East Africa in last November and after then enter Iran→Pakistan→India.

Now the situation is monitoring by LWO (Locust Warming Organisation). This is being set to be “One of the Worst Locust Swarm in the last 2 decades.”
